This course will provide associates with an understanding of the role of aviation security in the smooth functioning of an airport. This course teaches the basics of operational aviation security, providing an overview of the latest security issues, threats, and technological developments. This course will provide associates with tools to implement international security measures inside their airport.
After completion of this course, the students will:
• Understand the structure and roles of key aviation security organizations
• Understand the challenges that airports face in terms of security
• Assessing the threat and risks involved in security planning
• Implementation of security concepts and their incorporation into the airport security plan
• Analyze security operations and facilities and develop solution-oriented methods for improvement
• Achieving an understanding of the tools needed to implement a quality management system
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
The course is compliant with ICAO standards and recommended practices and GCAA-CARS.

• Have written and oral command of the language of instruction
