Cargo and Mail Security Training Course

The course is intended for personnel involved in over site responsibility for the handling of cargo and mail. It provides information on the purpose and intent of existing security measures, the implementation of appropriate security controls for cargo consignments, and the appropriate emergency response procedures in the event of a cargo security incident.
After completion of this course, the students will:
Have oversight responsibility as it pertains to cargo security related to the handling, acceptance, and/or documenting the implementation of cargo security measures.
The course is compliant with ICAO standards and recommended practices and GCAA-CARS.
English, Theoretical.
• Have written and oral command of the language of instruction
• Module 2 Basic Aviation Security Course
5 working days – 25 hours
The course covers topics such as, but not limited to:
• Cargo Security in Context
• Concepts of Cargo Security
• Cargo Security Procedures
• Overview of the Management of Cargo Security
• Methods of Screening Cargo
• Other Security Controls
• Security of Post Office Mail
• Restricted Articles and Dangerous Goods
